Collarini Engineering Appoints Mitch Reece as Manager of Reservoir Engineering
HOUSTON, TX, December 1, 2002 – Dennis Jordan, president of Collarini Engineering Inc., announced today the appointment of Mitch Reece as Manager of Reservoir Engineering for the company’s Houston office. “Even in this difficult business climate, our business in Houston has increased. There is a heightened level of activity expected in studies of mature fields to develop new opportunities as well as in evaluations related to upcoming transactions. E&P companies are more open to engaging outside expertise rather than to increase their head counts,“ said Jordan. “Mitch’s experience will be a great addition to our team as we continue to grow to serve the Houston and international markets.”
Prior to joining Collarini, Mitch was International Engineering Manager for Devon Energy. From 1982 to 2000, he held various domestic and international engineering and operations positions, most recently as Corporate Engineering Manager, Gulf Coast Division Production Manager, and Vice President of Engineering and Operations in southeast Asia for Santa Fe-Snyder Corporation and its predecessor, Santa Fe Energy Resources, Inc. Mitch has direct experience in production engineering, reservoir engineering, acquisitions and divestments, field operations, and management of all of those functions. He began his career with Tenneco Oil Company in Lafayette, Louisiana, after graduating from Texas A&M in 1979 with a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering. Mitch is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and Independent Petroleum Association of America.
Founded in New Orleans in 1985, Collarini opened its Houston offices in 1997. Through Collarini Engineering and Collarini Energy Staffing, it provides expert oil and gas reservoir advice, staffing, and engineering services to successful E&P companies. The companies have offices in Houston and New Orleans.
