Division Order Analyst (8721)
Senior Division Order Analyst needed for a direct hire opportunity with an independent oil and gas company in Houston, Texas. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in division order work. Must be proficient in the use of spreadsheets for well set up, Microsoft Office Suite and willing to learn other computer applications. Experience with Quorum a plus. Bachelor’s degree and CDOA Certification is a plus. Responsibilities include conducting extensive analysis and interpretation of Deeds, Probate Documentation, Trust Agreements, Assignments and Title Opinions to determine ownership of minerals, obtaining and interpreting curative material as needed for resolving title defects and other title issues, calculating Division of Interest to ensure timely payment of royalties, maintaining and updating Joint Interest Billing decks based on information received, maintaining and correcting divisions of interest when payouts and recompletions occur, researching suspense items for the Escheat process, and assisting with training and mentoring less experienced Division Order Analysts. Accounts Payable Manager needed for a small independent in Houston, Texas. The successful candidate will have seven years or more of accounting experience with most in the upstream oil industry, an undergraduate degree in accounting or business and three or more years supervising people. The manager will direct the work of accounting associates in the accounts payable function, coordinate payment of vendor invoices and expense vouchers, prepare reports to support operational and financial analysis including continuing efforts towards paperless documentation, and facilitate sales tax reporting and audits at parish and state levels. Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with appropriate attention to detail, excellent communications skills, ability to manage time with moderate supervision and delegate and oversee projects as needed.
