Experience: Geoscience technician with 17 years of experience working for major oil companies. Experienced in geological and geophysical procedures and terminology, seismic workstation support, and seismic processing. Highly experienced in many computer programs and languages including Landmark, spreadsheet programs, database programs, GeoQuest, VM/MVS, Windows, SQL, COBOL, FORTRAN, and UNIX.

Processed a significant amount of 3-D survey time and depth migration (pre and post stack) jobflows, including shot processing, velocity picking, trouble shooting, and data and media management. Also performed a de-remigration project.

Effected broad-based user-client support including seismic and well data loading, trouble shooting, exporting and reformatting files, creating amplitude extraction output, and plotting. Pioneered the loading of both production and completion data into the Landmark StratWorks software database. Maximized the efficient use of computer resources through rapid turnaround of seismic processing jobs and quick resubmittal of failed jobs, successfully resolving a wide range of problems from simple to complex user and program errors. Coordinated the off-prime expediting shifts.

Prepared focused information for the user community to minimize processing problems, saving both time and money for the company. Represented the company at industry user group meetings. Developed and implemented training for new client support professionals. Monitored and enforced the exploration department's off-hours priorities to enhance the effectiveness of the information services computer facilities. Developed a library of error codes and the appropriate solutions to enhance efficiency and result in substantial savings. Monitored all IBM computer room processing through a remote monitor to adjust priorities and cancel jobs. Served as the liaison between end users and software vendors.
