Reservoir and simulation engineer with 35 years of experience in reservoir engineering evaluation and management. Experienced in the detailed evaluation of reservoirs, onshore and offshore, deepwater, sand and carbonate formations (including fractured reservoirs) in domestic and international environments. Also experienced in reservoir, production, exploitation, exploration, acquisitions, divestments, IOR, EOR, litigation, negotiations, and portfolio management. Experienced in reservoir simulation, SEC reserve estimation, project economics, field development, routine and special core analysis design, material balance evaluations, pressure transient analysis, and log evaluations. Major geographic areas include the Permian Basin, the midcontinent, the Gulf of Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Iran, Egypt, and Algeria. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Project, Eclipse, Prosper, GASWAT, OILWAT, DOE Models, Boone Tool Kit, and personal models. Familiar with PEEP, Decision Tree, and Sapphire.

   
 

As a consultant, simulated a deepwater development project offshore Africa, prepared a reserve report for a Canadian stock merger, performed reservoir studies to evaluate development and exploration plans for projects in six foreign countries, and performed a company-wide internal audit of a mid-sized oil and gas company’s reserves for divestment purposes.

   
 

As a general manager in Brazil, led technical studies on exploration and production prospects after establishing a Rio de Janeiro office. Was directly involved in all activities and negotiations leading to a successful partnership with Petrobras. Performed the reservoir engineering studies for economic evaluation and assisted in the development of Campos Basin fields.

   
 

Served as a technical engineering advisor on improved oil recovery projects in the US and international. The scope of projects included Permian Basin waterfloods, waterflood re-alignments, secondary and tertiary CO2 recovery mechanisms, and CO2 rejuvenation projects. West Virginia and Pennsylvania projects included new waterfloods, CO2, steamflood and thermal recovery. International projects were limited to water or gas injection.

   
 

Was the working team leader of exploitation and reserve evaluations of 150 Permian Basin properties. Established a multi-disciplinary team of geophysicists, geologists, petrophysicists, engineers and support staff.
