Education:

M.S., Petroleum Engineering, Texas A/M University

B.A., Petroleum Engineer, UCV, Venezuela

Experience:

Petroleum engineer with 13 years of domestic and international experience in reservoir, production, and drilling projects. Experienced in reservoir control and surveillance, workovers, simulation, reserve estimation, field studies, portfolio and project economics, field development, electric submersible pump design and operations, well completion and production, and log analysis. Geographic areas worked include the Anaca, Monagas North, Apure, and Barinas fields of Venezuela, and Elk Hills, California. Proficient in various computer programs including Microsoft Office, Lotus 1-2-3, OFM, FRACADE, and STIMCADE. Highly skilled in the use of Eclipse.

Led a team in the Apure and Barinas fields of Venezuela, responsible for drilling and workover proposals, reserve estimation, budgets, depletion plans, and risked project economics. Planned and executed drilling and workover programs in the oil and gas fields boosting production by 50 percent and optimizing well bore use. Increased production by 30 percent in the Monagas North field of Venezuela through a fracture proposal.

As a reservoir engineer in the Anaco and Monagas North fields, was responsible for new wells, well-work proposals, reservoir simulation, acid stimulation, production log analysis, RFTs, pressure transient analysis, gas-lift optimization, and reserve estimation. Used observed data and new 3-D seismic interpretation to refine and history-match a waterflood reservoir model. Proposed and completed one well based on a simulation that produced the highest rate in the field.
