Experience:

Reservoir engineer with 17 years of domestic and international experience with major oil companies and independents, including 11 years of academic experience. Highly experienced in paraffin and asphaltene disposition prevention and/or control. Specialist in oil and gas reservoir and production engineering studies and environmental engineering applied to wastewater treatment and oil-contaminated soil. Experienced in reserve evaluation, reservoir studies, enhanced oil recovery studies, simulation, property evaluation, acquisition, and economic evaluation. Geographic areas worked include the Gulf coast, Venezuela, Mexico, and onshore Texas. Computer skills include reservoir simulation software, production optimization software, statistical software, analysis software, VAX/VMS System, Fortran and Basic, WINDOWS NT, and OFFICE 97.

Responsible for raising funds and selecting and reviewing research proposals to establish and support permanent research on paraffin, asphaltene, and scale at various universities.

Conducted engineering projects in several Gulf of Mexico offshore fields. Responsible for prospect evaluation, recompletions, reserve evaluations, and economic assessments.

Wrote research proposals, offshore and land wastewater treatment plant designs and improvements, nitrification and denitrification on-site processes, domestic and international training.

Taught undergraduate and graduate level courses on conventional production engineering, production optimization techniques, reservoir engineering, mathematical simulation, well logging evaluation, thermal recovery methods, computer applications, and hydrocarbon phase behavior. Performed and supervised research in the areas of enhanced oil recovery, well completions, production optimization, thermal recovery methods, microbial enhanced oil recovery, and environmental engineering associated with hydrocarbon-contaminated soil.
