Skilled at managing and supervising production and engineering operations, including up to 800 people of different disciplines and nationalities.  Experienced with production operations, including drilling, workovers, surface facilities operations, well design and well monitoring, and waterflooding with seawater and fresh water. Comfortable with oil and gas wells producing light, medium, and heavy oil, crude oils and with natural and artificial oil producing systems including ESP, gas-lift, plunger-lift, hydraulic and conventional pumping. Knowledgeable in well logging, including electric, radioactive logs, and production logs. As an operations manager in Turkmenistan, managed an oil and gas onshore operation with difficult logistics, comprising 54 wells, producing 15 MBOD equivalent, including 320 people. Led workover activities that doubled oil production by effective well completions in very high- pressure reservoirs. Interfaced with government and local company representatives.

 

 

 

As a production engineering supervisor in Saudi Arabia, was responsible for seawater waterflood monitoring which comprised 200 wells injecting 1.6 MMBWPD and producing 1.2 MMBOPD. Led a team of 12 engineers that was instrumental in identifying water quality related well plugging causes. Published an SPE paper related to the injection program. Provided on the job training of Saudi Arabian engineers and led interdisciplinary teams to resolve operations related problems.

 

 

 

As a district operations manager in Colombia, South America, managed north and south districts comprising 100 to 300 wells producing up to 60 MBOD including up to 800 people of different disciplines. Placed many wells on production that were off production or previously abandoned by implementing a campaign that optimized every single well in the district. Production was increased from 5 MBOD to 12 MBOD.
