Expert geophysicist with 27 years of international and domestic exploration and production experience with emphasis in North and South America.  Skilled in Landmark geophysical 3-D interpretation.  Extensively experienced working with multi-disciplinary teams on field studies, structural analysis, seismic attributes, field development, and prospect generation.  Geographic experience includes Venezuela, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Ecuador, Brunei, the Ivory coast, Texas, Louisiana, and the offshore Gulf of Mexico shelf and Plio-Pleistocene trends. Proficient in Landmark SeisWorks, Z-Map Plus, PostStack PAL, SynTool, Well Data Manager, RAVE, and AVO.  Very good communication skills in Spanish, including the ability to teach and train Landmark applications in Spanish. 

 

 

 

Led engineers on field development projects in Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela, and Colombia. Recommended locations that flowed over 1,000 BOPD in Lake Maracaibo, Venezuela. Mapped the eastern and western basins of Venezuela, the Reforma-Comalcalco and Golden Lane areas of Mexico, the Neuquen Basin gas province of Argentina, and the Llanos and Magdalena Basins of Colombia. Participated on  teams with nationals or alone within the national oil companies.

 

 

 

Performed extensive structural evaluations of compressive and complex tectonic settings, transpressive areas, passive shelf margins, and salt emplacements.

 

 

 

Managed seismic acquisition, processing, and contracting of services. Supervised seismic field crews in Texas, Louisiana, the offshore Gulf of Mexico, Colombia, and Venezuela.
