Resume of GP695

Education:

Ph.D., Geophysics, Colorado School of Mines

M.S., Geophysics, Colorado School of Mines

B.S., Geophysics Engineering, Istanbul University

Experience:

Geophysicist with 15 years of research, development, exploration, and technical support experience. Skilled in 3-D pre-stack depth and time imaging; multiple attenuation; AVO modeling and analysis; multi-component cross-borehole and VSP data acquisition; processing and imaging; land acquisition; and marine seismic processing. Extensively experienced with C/C++, FORTRAN, cluster technology, UNIX, and MPI. Additional computer experience includes ProMax and Landmark. Fluent in both English and Turkish.

Implemented Bleistein’s true-amplitude formulas for v(z) into pre-stack Kirchhoff time and depth migration code on clustered Linux machines. Technically supported on-going, non-exclusive, and proprietary PSTM and PSDM projects. Developed fast isotropic and anisotropic ray-tracing based AVO modeling codes. Investigated the impact of different AVO and AVA parameterizations to rock property determination.

Acquired, processed, and imaged multi-component cross-borehole seismic and VSP field data. Participated in the development of pre-stack multi-mode reverse time migration code to process the cross-borehole seismic data. Developed and implemented numerous tools to process multi-component seismic data. Constructed an elastic physical model to simulate pinch outs in an oil field, produced multi-mode cross-borehole data, and imaged the same.

Worked as a geophysicist on seismic land crews, and performed onsite seismic processing that played a role in the direction of acquisition strategy. Managed seismic land crews.
