Experience:

Senior geoscientist with 23 years of experience in oil and gas exploration and exploitation. Experienced in seismic interpretation on Landmark and Kingdom workstations, reservoir characterization using Jason Geosystem’s inversion software, and geologic evaluation using GeoGraphix and Petra software to create structure, isopach, residual, and production maps. Geographic experience includes the Ardmore basin, Arkoma basin, Louisiana horizontal Austin Chalk, north and south Louisiana, Gulf of Mexico shelf, and south and west Texas. Additional computer skills include Pete Rose Risk Analysis software, Excel, and Word.

Integrated seismic and well logs and mapped south Texas Edwards and Wilcox reservoirs. Completed four horizontal wells in the Edwards formation for up to five MMCF/D. Recommended the acquisition of additional 3-D seismic data for a field extension. Identified three potential Edwards field acquisitions based on a 2-D seismic interpretation. Drilled a deep Wilcox exploratory well in Goliad County, Texas.

Interpreted 1,000 miles of 2-D seismic data in north Louisiana to evaluate the company’s high-grade option acreage. Subsequently identified three exploratory prospects. Drilled and completed a deep reef exploratory prospect. Evaluated 3-D seismic data in the Ardmore basin and identified well recompletions and deeper exploratory drilling locations. Worked on an aggressive team with an engineer, geologist, and landman to provide a continuous recompletion and drilling program.

Mapped 2-D seismic data for fault delineation in the Louisiana Austin Chalk to prevent horizontal drilling problems. Drilled 10 dual lateral Austin Chalk wells costing $5.5 million per well with a 100% success rate and average ultimate reserves of 1,025 MBOE.

Evaluated the company acreage position in the Arkoma Basin using 2-D seismic on a Landmark workstation and GeoGraphix software for geologic mapping. Drilled 44 wells with a 93% success rate, which added 30 BCF reserves with an average unit development cost of $0.45 per MCF. Developed a new drilling strategy, which convinced upper management to increase the drilling budget by 400%. Worked with the Arkansas Oil and Gas and Oklahoma Corporation Commissions to consistently establish second allowables for producing units.
