Experience:

Processing geophysicist with over 23 years of experience in seismic processing and acquisition with a major company and as a consultant. Highly competent in seismic acquisition and worldwide processing of 2-D and 3-D land and offshore data for oil and gas exploration. Experienced in a wide range of processing techniques, including but not limited to, AVO processing and pre-stack and post-stack depth migration, using state-of-the-art software. Highly proficient in PROMAX and UNIX.

Performed depth imaging of complex geology using in-house software. Assisted in time processing of data to ensure maximum quality prior to actual depth migration.

Processed seismic 2-D, 3-D, land, and offshore data. Initiated enhanced processing techniques using available tools. Trained other geophysicists.

Acquired knowledge of latest available tools for pre-stack and post-stack migration, AVO, phase analysis and well tying using PHOTON, and post processing of 3-D volumes from various processing shops. Trained geophysicists from other processing shops on PROMAX.

Processed worldwide 2-D and 3-D data using PROMAX and SPARC systems, starting with evaluation of field records and analysis of data for correct shot point geometry through velocity analysis, deconvolution, correlation and phase tying with existing well data, and coordination with the desires of the interpretation geophysicist. Completed other projects including pre-stack migration, AVO processing, pore pressure prediction, depth migration, stratigraphic processing, dip moveout, and refraction analysis. Processed the first company 3-D data in south Louisiana, and with additional 3-D data from west Texas, worked closely with the research group to improve and enhance existing software for the advancement of 3-D processing. Efficient processing consistently achieved high quality data, with completion ahead of schedule and below estimated cost.

Served aboard a 165-foot seismic vessel based primarily in the North Sea. Started as a junior observer and advanced as experience and ability warranted to position of chief observer. Responsibilities included operating a secondary navigation system, monitoring all incoming data, writing observer reports, evaluating data quality, minor repairs of instruments during electronic engineer's absence, setting instruments for required parameters by client, running tests before and during acquisition, packing, storing and shipping of all data to processing centers.
