Education:

B.S., Geology, Kent State University, Kent, Ohio

Experience:

Geoscientist with 30 years of international and domestic exploration and production experience with both major and large independent petroleum companies. Skilled in 2-D and 3-D interpretation and integrated subsurface mapping. Extensively experienced working with multidisciplinary teams on basin analysis, exploration evaluations, acquisition analysis, field development, and prospect generation and screening. Proficient in reflection and borehole seismic acquisition, processing quality control, and integrated seismic and open-hole log analysis. Geographic areas worked include Louisiana to western Florida, onshore and offshore Gulf coast, Mexico, Guatemala, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Argentina, Yemen, Pakistan, Gabon, Congo, U.K. North Sea, and eastern Russia. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Landmark, and Integral Plus. Effective communication skills in English and Spanish with basic skills in French.

Collaborated with an Elk Hills reservoir team development by assisting with locating recompletion targets for by-passed hydrocarbon zones. Generated seismic time, velocity, and depth maps for reserve assessment and infill exploitation wells.

Led a geoscience team doing regional exploration studies and reactivation of marginal fields in western Venezuela. Performed mapping, developed leads, and presented the technical merits of the exploration plays. As the chief geophysicist, directed geophysical exploration in Bolivia, Paraguay and Peru including seismic acquisition and supervision of the technical staff doing regional mapping and generating drillable prospects, resulting in significant new discoveries and field reserve additions.

Performed prospect screening, evaluated exploration potential, and reviewed delineation and exploitation drilling locations and reserve estimates on non-operated leases in Yemen, Pakistan, and the North Sea. Led a consortium team doing regional studies and exploration evaluations in the Oriente basin, Ecuador including data acquisition and reprocessing, mapping (time, velocity and depth maps), and generation of drillable prospects, resulting in a significant new field discovery and selection of areas for relinquishment.

Performed seismic data processing and regional gravity survey compilation, processing, and modeling studies. Evaluated the technical merits of exploration plays, assisted with generating prospects and drilling recommendations, and performed post-drill analysis in the onshore areas of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida.
