Education:

B.S., Geophysics, University of Oklahoma

M.B.A., Finance and Accounting, University of Denver

Experience:

Geophysicist with 20 years of experience with independents. Extensively experienced in geophysics, geology, and log analysis, in exploration, production, and multidisciplinary field studies. Skilled in data acquisition and processing, formation evaluation, economics, acquisition and divestitures, and seismic interpretation. Skilled in data loading, computer-based mapping, log analysis, seismic modeling, AVO analysis, and subsurface geology. Geographic areas worked include Texas, California, the mid-continent, and the Rocky Mountains. Computer skills include MS Office, Freelance Graphics, Landmark, WordPerfect, Intellex, GeoQuest, and HDS Log Analysis.

Managed the cycle of prospect generation and sales along the Texas Gulf coast from regional geology to field development. Handled the budget for acquiring seismic data. Added 40 BCF and 4 MMBO by pursuing data on an old field. Convinced management and partners to obtain acreage and successfully drill. Produced numerous Frio prospects via a new way of mapping incised valley sand channels in south Texas. Found significant oil reserves adjacent to an old field using amplitude analysis.

Was responsible for prospect generation in Colorado and Kansas. Evaluated third party projects throughout North America. Managed sales of internally generated projects. Created an exploration program. Negotiated a farmout and sold the first drilling deal within two months of startup which resulted in a gas well. Prepared financial statements, and communicated with investors. Successfully assisted in raising capital for a new corporation. Used subsurface geology in southern Colorado to generate a strong inventory of producing field analog prospects.

Was responsible for seismic and geologic interpretation to develop prospects in Colorado and coastal California. Directed in-house reprocessing efforts. Conceived and implemented a new method of sandstone exploration in southeast Colorado. Developed a structural solution to a subthrust play along the San Andreas fault by integrating regional tectonics with seismic data. Planned and implemented heliportable seismic acquisition to delineate a large prospect. Derived a formula to estimate porosity from seismic amplitudes in a carbonate sequence.
