Education:

B.S., Geology, Virginia Tech

M.S., Geology, Virginia Tech

Experience:

Certified Petroleum Geologist with over 17 years experience with several major independent companies and one major, twelve years workstation interpretation experience. Highly experienced in exploration and production. Expert in prospect generation using 3-D seismic data and geologic data integration. Highly experienced using subsurface data, synthetics, and modeling. Skilled in mapping, visualization, 3-D AVO processing, and analysis. Geographic areas worked include onshore Texas Gulf coast, south Louisiana, Gulf of Mexico, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Williston basin, Powder River basin, and Michigan basin. Computer skills include Microsoft Office, Lotus 1-2-3, Landmark, Z-Map, GeoQuest, SMT Workstation, and GMA Workstation. Fluent in Spanish.

Initiated south Louisiana project, purchased 350-sq. mi. of 3-D spec data, created well log, paleo, velocity, and production database. Generated and successfully marketed high potential prospects. Responsible for normal incidence and AVO synthetic modeling. Supervised 3-D AVO reprocessing and evaluation.

Generated 22 prospects at Tom O'Connor and Washburn Ranch fields. Selected as part of interpretation team for the first onshore development 3-D surveys acquired in Argentina. Supervised network of three GeoQuest workstations, performed hardware/software purchases, and negotiated with vendors.

Initiated and completed regional study of producing Jurassic Norphlet fields, and incorporated available wells and seismic data. Identified undrilled shallow Miocene gas anomalies in Alabama offshore through integration of well control and 2-D seismic grid.

Proposed and drilled two deep Smackover prospects. Reviewed 12 Michigan basin wells. Completed regional evaluation of Smackover play. Performed 2-D and 3-D interpretation and mapping. Monitored producing properties offshore Louisiana.

Remapped producing reservoirs in several east Texas and Gulf Coast fields. Applied knowledge of carbonates and depositional environments to perform regional synthesis of reef trends. Wellsite experience in numerous basins and areas around U.S.
