Geoscientist and project manager with 20 years of international and domestic experience with a Fortune 500 diversified energy company. Experienced at seismic interpretation and mapping, well log analysis, field studies, regulatory analysis, and managing multi-disciplinary teams to evaluate acquisition opportunities. Very strong in written and verbal communication skills.  Proficient in Microsoft Office, Lotus 1-2-3 and Notes, WordPerfect, Freehand, and Adobe PhotoShop.

 

 

 

Interpreted and mapped 10,000 miles of offshore seismic data and generated two dozen exploration prospects as a member of a two-man team in two Norwegian offshore exploration licensing rounds.  Recommended company participation in license application bids in   Norway, resulting in the company's first successful exploration award in seven years and the subsequent discovery of a 500-million barrel field.

 

 

 

As a key member of a multi-disciplinary project development team, evaluated the feasibility of a $2 billion gas production and pipeline project in Peru. Coordinated with potential corporate partners, contractors, legal counsel, investment banks, and the Peruvian government to successfully pre-qualify the company as a bidder for the project.

 

 

 

Managed a $500,000 exploration study of an Ecuadorian basin to identify potential gas to supply the company’s power plant.  Negotiated data acquisition from the Ecuadorian government and supervised a basin evaluation by contractors, resulting in identification of several prospects. Coordinated farm-out offers of Peruvian exploration acreage, including identification of potential partners, negotiation of confidentiality agreements, instigating commercial discussions, and managing a data room.

 

 

 

Evaluated oil and gas exploration, production, pipeline, and power opportunities for technical and commercial feasibility in numerous areas, including Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Guatemala, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Indonesia, Jordan, Israel, and Syria. Supervised geological contractors and served as the company liaison with the Sudanese government and as the wellsite geologist on a $20MM Sudan Red Sea wildcat exploration well.

 

 

 

Wrote white papers to define the company’s business development strategy in South American countries.  Managed the filing of detailed submittals to Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for successful approval of gas pipeline construction projects.
