Education:

Ph.D. and M.Phil., Geology, Rutgers University

M.S., Geology, University of Minnesota

B.S., Geology and Speech, University of Wisconsin

Experience:

Certified and registered petroleum geologist with 25 years of major oil company experience in petroleum exploration and development. Comfortable working in team environments conducting prospect screening and acquisition analysis. Knowledgeable of Gulf of Mexico deepwater and flexure trend plays, and Gulf of Mexico shelf, deep gas, and subsalt plays. Additional geographic experience includes the Alaska North Slope, the Beaufort Sea, the Chukchi Sea, Atlantic offshore, and offshore California, as well as onshore experience in most major U.S. basins. Proficient in play and prospect generation using Landmark workstations.

Served on a multidisciplinary team evaluating a prospect submittal, and recommended participation to management, which earned the company a working interest in gross reserves of 100-115 MMBOE. Worked with a geophysicist to evaluate the hydrocarbon potential of a deepwater leasehold. Integrated 2-D and 3-D seismic and well control to evaluate the reserve potential and risk of objective horizons and to determine the value of the property.

Used 2-D seismic and well data, including examination of conventional cores. Worked with other explorationists to provide a regional evaluation of a discovery to management for a decision regarding future participation in the play. Served as the principal geologist on a multidisciplinary team evaluating two large independents for possible acquisition by a major oil company, providing management with the information needed for an acquisition decision.

Collaborated with two other explorationists to synthesize published literature, interpret 2-D seismic data, well control, and gravity data into a geologic framework for a Lower Cretaceous carbonate play in south Texas, allowing management to determine future company participation.

Prepared and made 14 presentations to interested companies regarding farm-out opportunities of a North Slope leasehold. Interpreted and mapped 3-D seismic data to delineate reserve potential and risk of a deep gas prospect, and worked with an outside partner to plan a proposed well.
