Education:

B.S., Petroleum Engineering Technology, Southern Alberta Institute of Technology

Experience:

Geoscientist with three years of experience in the energy industry. Skilled in ASTM methods including API, sulphur by x-ray, flash point, distillation, ash, chromatograph using MTBE purity, atomic absorption, carbon residue, water by distillation, sediments extraction, centrifuge, octane engines, RVP, SFC, and sulphur and nitrogen by UV rays. Experienced in formation evaluation, rock cutting analysis, sample examination, calcium carbonate determination, well-site gas analysis, hydrocarbon analysis, interpretation, and show evaluation. Proficient in quality, health, and environmental safety practices. Skilled in checking for gas flows and sudden gas increases at the wellsite. Experienced in the evaluation of oil and gas properties and EOR techniques. Geographic areas worked include northeastern Mississippi, east Texas, the Gulf of Mexico shelf, and California.

As a lab technician, performed core and PVT analysis to determine porosity, permeability, and fluid saturation, which was used to define potential productive reserves, reservoir quality, and description. Used core porosities to calibrate logs and calculate reserves. Defined flow capacity using horizontal permeability data, distribution, and profiles. Used vertical permeability to define coring probability and gravity drainage potential. Determined fluid saturation by the retort distillation method, which helped to define the presence of hydrocarbons. Managed a SQL database for well log depth registration and quality control.
