Exploration, exploitation, and geohydrodynamic geologist with 20 years of industry experience with a major oil company and 12 years in research. Substantially experienced in prospect generation and property evaluation with wellsite follow up. Experienced working with development and drilling departments, and at the wellsite, quality controlling wireline and mud logs. Experienced in analysis of geopressured formations, using well logs, drilling well history, mud weight, and other data. Experienced in field geology, wellsite, hydrogeology, photogeologic interpretation, gravity and seismic mapping, lithostratigraphy, biostratigraphy, paleoecologic interpretation, and remote sensing interpretation. Geographic areas worked in exploration and exploitation include the shelf, sub-salt, and deepwater Gulf of Mexico, Texas Gulf coast, Louisiana, Italian Overthrust Belt, Gulf of Suez, and the western desert region of Egypt. Additional geographic areas worked in geohydrodynamics include northwest Australia, south and west Africa, Algeria, Libya, Brazil, the North Sea, and China. Proficient on Landmark, integrating 2-D and 3-D seismic with geological, well log, and geopressure data for prospect generation.

Was responsible for regional studies and geopressure mapping based on electric and sonic well log analysis, pressure plots, mud weight and drilling history, and hydrocarbon migration trends. Created structural, isopach, and sand percentage maps of the Tertiary-Quaternary time-rock units (FRIO-Trim A), paleoenvironment models, and sedimentological parameters associated with major structural lineaments. Compiled interpretation of preceding items to predict optimum trends for leads and frontier exploration. Also responsible for appraisal of in-house, farm-out, and farm-in prospects and producing properties.

Generated prospects and evaluated the federal OCS sales in the Gulf of Mexico. Evaluated leads and assessed risk for OCS blocks to support competitive bids in West and East Cameron, High Island, Galveston, the Brazos area, and the deepwater Gulf of Mexico.
