Experience:

Exploration geologist with 19 years of experience, both domestic and international, with a major oil company. Experienced in generating exploration and production prospects, conducting regional projects and field studies, and in onsite well operations. Strong in salt tectonics, petrophysics, basin modeling, and pressure analysis. Experienced in extensional and compressional structural settings. Self-motivated, creative, and committed. Experienced in all aspects of hydrocarbon systems analysis. Geographic areas worked include Venezuela, the Gulf of Mexico, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, and Florida. Proficient in Landmark, Z-MAP, BasinMod, SDI, Geolog, RISK, and other technical software. Conversant in Spanish.

Led an eastern Venezuela team to drill two wildcat wells on an exploration block. Used SeisWorks, StratWorks, Z-MAP and BasinMod to achieve a full hydrocarbon systems analysis and generate five prospects. Quantified technical risk, recommended and drilled first well, and proved 500 BCF. Provided timely post-well reports and presentations.

Led a Gulf of Mexico team working a diagenetic project to explore for off-flank gas accumulations. Performed attribute, 2-D structural mapping, basin modeling, fault analysis, Geolog, and Presgraf analysis. Resulted in a successful bid and a 50-BCF discovery. Worked with pressures and structural reconstruction to create a structural diagenetic model. Combined with attribute, 2-D structural mapping, and petrophysical analysis, yielding four prospective lead areas. Screened outside generated prospects in the Tertiary Gulf of Mexico.

As lead explorationist for the Norphlet/Smackover, worked on regional prospect generation and field development. Performed regional work on structural modeling, basin modeling, and hydrocarbon systems to develop a new play concept for the Norphlet in the Mississippi Salt Basin. Leased five prospects with potential of 500 BCF each. Worked with Landmark SeisWorks and StratWorks to drill a successful exploration well. Screened outside generated deals throughout the MAFLA area.

Was the exploration geologist, in the Gulf of Mexico group, generating prospects and evaluating outside generated prospects primarily onshore south Louisiana. Performed regional work and prospect work and screened outside generated deals throughout south Louisiana.
