Geoscientist with over 20 years of diverse petroleum exploration experience, including prospect generation and review, 2-D and 3-D seismic interpretation, seismic modeling, synthetic seismogram production, well analysis, carbonate and clastic stratigraphy, rock physics and AVO, seismic attributes, database management, and computer mapping. Highly experienced in hydrocarbon indicator recognition, geologic balancing, and tying in well data. Geographic areas interpreted include the Gulf of Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Kansas, New Mexico, Wyoming, Alaska, Mexico, Venezuela, the Carnarvon basin in Australia, CIS, Europe, the Middle East, northern Africa, offshore Netherlands Antilles, the Kenyan basin, and Sharza. Strong computer skills include GeoQuest, Landmark, Geographix, GMA, Petcom Powerlog, Hampson Russell, Flagship Geo, SMT, and UNIX.

As part of integrated reservoir characterization teams, performed prospect generation, missed oil recognition, seismic imaging and interpretation, structure map and cross section balancing, petrophysical analysis, client technical support, workflow development, quality control, and database management. Picked well tops, including a 1,200-well project. Produced maps, seismic models, synthetic seismograms, synthetic curves, cross-sections, and technical reports. Reviewed and cataloged a large portion of an oil company’s Gulf of Mexico data into a database. As a team member, participated in a major oil company’s regional study team of projects pertaining to CIS, Europe, Greenland, the eastern Mediterranean, and the Middle East projects.

Correlated, displayed, edited, prepared, quality controlled, and analyzed Russian well data. Managed, maintained, and updated databases with SAS, SQL, SDI, Oracle, Access, Excel, SED and AWK. Provided geoscience computer operation assistance, training, scripts, and programs.

Taught office software at a college. Taught office automation and compiled Lotus spreadsheets and database templates for an oilfield service company. Bird-dogged seismic crews and recorded seismic data. Aided in surveying, permitting, and processing seismic data. Assisted in resistivity surveying. Aided in paleontologic classification and preparation.
