Resume of G190
Education: B.S., Geology, Columbia College
Experience: Registered professional geologist with 36 years of experience working for major and independent oil companies, as well as an academic institution. Experienced in geological and geophysical exploration, including stratigraphic analysis, field mapping, seismic sequence stratigraphy, prospect generation, and interpretation. Geographic areas worked include north Louisiana, south Arkansas, Venezuela, Trinidad, and Australia. Proficient in the use of Seismic Micro-Technologies' 2-D and 3-D Pak software.
Led efforts in seismic sequence stratigraphy and exploration techniques. Revised and published stratigraphic exploration models for formations in north Louisiana and south Arkansas. This work incorporated seismic data and well logs with regional plate tectonics, basin analyses, and climate models. Developed other exploration models including sedimentation patterns around salt features, correlation of seismic facies to fourth-order-sea-level oscillations, synthesizing salt tectonic processes, rates of regional deformation, and local faulting.
Worked with 3-D seismic data in south Louisiana. Participated in prospect generation in north Louisiana deep gas plays and in south Louisiana Miocene slope. Prepared regional exploration description sections for regional studies for the Argentine continental margin. Provided depositional expertise for areas along the northwest territories of Australia of Permian age.
Managed 15 oceanographers, geologists, computer programmers, and data handlers in regional studies, basin analyses, and map preparation. Designed survey objectives. Interpreted single-channel seismic data. Prepared maps with such parameters as surface sediment type, total sediment thickness, and seismic reflector characteristics.
Developed prospects and leads from bright spots and described potential reservoirs in federal OCS lease areas. Developed a sequence stratigraphic model for the paleo-shelf, shelfbreak, and slope provinces of the Louisiana offshore.
Served as research assistant to an ocean basin mapper. Supervised the work of five technicians, processed data from three ships, reviewed quality, volume, and timeliness of data.
