Education: B.A., Marine and Environmental Science, University of Virgin Islands

M.S., Geology, Florida State University, Tallahassee

Ph.D., Geology, Florida State University, Tallahassee

Experience: Professional geologist with over 15 years of domestic and international onshore and offshore experience working for major and large independent oil companies, and as a consultant. Expertise includes 2-D and 3-D seismic sequence interpretation, seismic stratigraphy utilizing hydrocarbon indicators, seismic signature recognition of ancient and modern fluvial, lacustrine, deltaic, and marine carbonates, petrophysical and petrological parameters optimization, and geostatistical applications. Experienced in basin analysis, play types, trapping styles, hydrocarbon maturity and migration, and analysis of satellite and aerial photography using GIS integration mapping workstations. Geographic areas worked include onshore and offshore Gulf coast, South America, Caribbean, China, Hong Kong, west Africa, and the Far East. Proficient with GeoGraphix, SeisVision, Charisma, and Landmark. Generated written and oral reports on many international and domestic basins, formations, and reservoirs. A featured speaker at conferences and professional meetings who has published over 60 professional papers and technical books.

Managed and conducted domestic and international studies to evaluate the geology, structure, and stratigraphy of basins. Also participated in, and led, committees for special projects to develop structural and stratigraphic plays. Prepared reservoir and basin analyses involving seismic modeling, diagenetic history, fracture studies, petrology, petrophysics, core description, X-ray, and SEM in onshore and offshore Gulf of Mexico. Organized and conducted geological field surveys, geologic mapping, airphoto interpretation, remote sensing, and rock sample collection. Performed geological well analyses, seismic sequence analysis, geochemical and seismic computer modeling, hydrocarbon indicator studies, and seismic, gravity, and geochemical surveys. Developed viable exploration prospects, and prepared assessments of producing reservoir development. Taught computer modeling involving GIS mapping programs, sedimentological, petrophysical, petrological, paleontological, geochemical, core analysis, and geostatistical methods. Served as expert witness regarding petroleum geology.

Directed exploration projects in China; managed the drilling of three wells in the Beibuwan and onshore exploration located in Zhangjiang and Hong Kong. Generated prospects for new ventures in South America, Asia, Africa, and the Far East. Conducted geological field surveys in Venezuela, Ecuador, and the Caribbean. In addition, conducted remote-sensing analysis in Guyana, Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru, and Laos.
