Experience includes exploration and exploitation of geological trends both onshore and offshore Gulf of Mexico region, including sub-surface mapping and lease sales. As an independent exploration geologist, discovered a six-well field in Vermilion Parish, Louisiana, by regional mapping that demonstrated closure with multiple sands. Completed regional mapping in Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana, which led to a singular, shallow-sand prospect with four wells. Exploitation mapping at a south Louisiana salt dome yielded additional production from previously unmapped and unexplored fault blocks from two wells.

As a field engineer, performed measure-while-drilling inclination and azimuth calculations for onshore and offshore directional wells; initiated files, including invoices, solved problems, and gave weekly reports. Set up and monitored computer and downhole tools to calculate surveys at specific intervals.

As an independent geologist, prepared detailed, subsurface geological maps depicting areas of economic merit for the deltaic Wilcox trend in central and north Louisiana and Texas. Conducted meetings with oil company management to explain these anomalies and reach agreement on services rendered. Performed on-site inspection of electrical logs for commercial possibilities. Prepared detailed sub-surface maps for Federal offshore lease sales in Louisiana and Texas. Worked with a team including engineers, geophysicists, and reservoir engineers to determine which offshore blocks of a particular area had economical potential, and recommended those to management.

Prepared large area maps of subsurface strata on assigned parishes in Louisiana to determine economical prospects to show management. Worked closely with geophysicists and paleontologists for correct correlation between petroleum deposits, and presented these ideas for approval.
