Experience:
Senior geologist with 25 years of broad experience in production and exploration. Experienced in mapping, seismic interpretation and integration, clastic depositional systems, paleoenvironmental interpretation, stratigraphy, sedimentology, reservoir geology, property evaluations, wellsite activities, and economic and risk evaluations. Geographic areas worked include north and south Louisiana, the Gulf of Mexico, California, the North Sea, and the Persian Gulf. Computer skills include Lotus 1-2-3, and Landmark Seisworks.Worked on Gulf of Mexico shelf exploration, acquisitions, divestments, farmins, farmouts, and joint ventures, involving 3-D seismic interpretation on a Landmark workstation. Generated presentations to prospective partners, and worked closely with joint venture participants. Generated several prospects with potential exceeding 1 TCF.
Conducted field studies and generated prospects which led to leasing of an offshore Texas block. Mapped fields and prospects across the Gulf of Mexico using seismic and well control. Generated a deep zone discovery in the West Cameron area. Evaluated many properties for potential sale or acquisition. Generated prospects for OCS lease sales, and conducted regional sand distribution studies to support them. Calculated reserve potential and coordinated economic evaluations for all prospects in three lease sales.
Conducted a regional correlation/sand distribution study of the Lower Miocene to support lease sale activities. Conducted a field study of an offshore Louisiana property, and was the geologic representative in unitization negotiations, including testimony before an MMS hearing.
Was responsible for all company California properties. Mapped numerous fields throughout the state. Handled international prospects offshore Norway, Netherlands, and Abu Dhabi. Proposed a wildcat location to the NetherIands operator which was a discovery. Developed a set of isocapacity maps that greatly improved the understanding of a complex carbonate reservoir in Abu Dhabi.
Was responsible for geologic input to major expansion of a large waterflood. Constructed detailed reservoir maps and cross-sections, and monitored the ongoing drilling program. Conducted another major field study which led to five additional completions.
