Petroleum engineer with 14 years of domestic and international experience as a drilling, production, and operations engineer on land, jackup, and platform drilling rigs.  Experienced in workovers, stimulation (fracture, acid, and water injection), coiled tubing, artificial lift (rod pump, submersible, and gas-lift), open- and cased-hole logging, and drilling rig supervision. Experienced in remote, isolated, environmentally sensitive, severe weather, and logistically challenging locations. Geographic areas worked include Wyoming, Texas, the Alaskan North Slope, and offshore Russia. Computer literate in most drilling, production, stimulation, word processing, spreadsheet, and reporting software.

Was responsible for the daily operations of a rig, including the technical limits, safety, environmental compliance, state and federal compliance, drilling plan forward, equipment logistics, service personnel logistics and supervision, and interfacing with rig personnel, service personnel, and office team. Directionally drilled wells that included multiple angle (geo-steering), multiple lateral, high deviation, H2S, and high rate of penetration (ROP) wells with a variety of poly-crystalline diamond (PCD) and tri-cone bits.

Was responsible for all health, safety, and environmental activities on 12 drilling rigs in a 150-mile radius. Performed rig safety and environmental audits to identify potential safety and environmental hazards and prevent incidents. Conducted safety meetings and interfaced with rig personnel.  Complied with company, state, and federal environmental and safety laws and regulations, and ISO 140001 EMS.  Performed incident investigations and reporting.

Participated in the successful launch of a major drilling program offshore Russia in the Sea of Okhotsk.  Initiated a strong training program and maintained an outstanding safety record while reducing costs from $15MM to $8MM and decreasing the drilling curve from 35 days down to 20 to 25 days. As a manager of land rigs, was responsible for additional site prep, land owner interaction, communications, accommodations, and water procurement.  As a field production and operations engineer, was responsible for AFEs, developing and supervising workovers, budgets, completions, production enhancement, fracturing, and most forms of secondary and tertiary recovery processes.
