Experience:

Drilling engineer with more than thirty years of experience in all phases of drilling.  Rig experienced includes ultra-deep land, air drilling, natural gas drilling, foam drilling, helicopter, barge, submergible, jack-up, semi-submersible, and drill ships.  Experience also includes the deepest turnkey in the world (7,208 ft) and an ultra-rank wildcat off the coast of Ghana.  Geographic areas include Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, and Tennessee.  International onsite well supervision and planning includes Syria, Papua New Guinea, Gabon, Ivory Coast, Ghana, and Equatorial Guinea.

 

 

 

Pioneered the merging of micro-basin fluid migration concept with state-of-the-art pore pressure analysis.  Designed and implemented turnkey wells. Co-authored a book regarding pressure regimes in sedimentary basins and their prediction.  Authored a paper regarding the evaluation of deepwater drilling prospects using new concepts to identify, quantify and mitigate risks for well design.

 

 

 

Specialized in designing and planning highly deviated, long reach    high-pressure wells in the Gulf of Mexico, including deepwater.  Prepared and executed completion, testing, and workover programs for onshore and offshore wells, including extensive experience in fracing, acidizing, and gravel packing. On existing fields, combined all phases of petroleum and geological engineering, and found new drilling locations, new and overlooked zones, and secondary and tertiary projects.  Routinely negotiated drilling and turnkey contracts.
